Hey, guys! I am SO pumped that it finally feels like fall here in Dallas, so I thought it’d be appropriate to share my top five picks for fall. When I say top five picks, I mean five staples that you will be able to wear over and over again….versatility is KEY in my book. In case you haven’t noticed, I really like white booties. When this trend first came around, I wasn’t sure I’d get a ton of use out of white boots — but once I bought my first pair I realized they were a must. You’ll quickly find that they go with everything……
You can even wear these cute white booties with leggings! The possibilities are endless as I feel like they add a super chic touch to even the most casual of looks. My booties are by Steve Madden and linked here. The ones I bought last fall were a lot less expensive, but to be honest, you get what you pay for most of the time. Granted, I wore the crap out of my old ones but they just didn’t hold up. We all know that Steve Madden is a little pricier, but these shoes will last forever….so I am willing to invest in a pair of gorgeous, versatile shoes that I will be able to wear for years to come. Bee tee dubs, they are true to size in case you’re wondering!
Now let’s move on to pick number two — these faux leather side stripe leggings by Spanx! To die for. They fit like a glove and can be worn in so many ways it’s not even funny. To be real, I’ve always been a denim girl and wasn’t much of a leggings fan (I know, I know) until I tried these!
Here is another way to wear these faux leather leggings! So easy and fun. For reference, I am wearing a size small and they are true to size. You will be seeing me style these leggings in a ton of different ways this fall – so stay tuned!
Let’s move on to fall pick number three, shall we? Everyone needs the perfect oversized sweater, amirite? There’s nothing better than sippin’ on coffee in the morning, snuggled up in a cozy sweater that practically swallows you, haha. Staple numero quatro……a good denim button up. This one is sort of self explanatory — doesn’t everybody need one in their closet? Drumroll for pick number five, please…….that’s right….the perfect pair of mom jeans. The truth is, I love all my jeans in different ways, which made it pretty dang hard to choose. I may just have to do an entire post on denim soon, but for now let’s talk about these light wash jeans by Madewell. They are THE perfect high rise jeans and so incredibly flattering. They are loose in the right places (around the knees which I love) and still hug your butt so you don’t look like a frump….cause let’s face it, nobody wants frump butt. I’m wearing them in pretty much every picture in this blog post, so you can see how versatile they are! These mom jeans are TTS and I’m wearing a size 25 for reference. I am 5’5,” so they look great when rolled a bit and look super cute with booties, flats, heels…you name it!
